Ground Handling Supervisor (m/f/d) Airport

Overview

Do you have solid experience in the ground handling of wide-body cargo aircraft

and would you like to take responsibility for smooth operations at Leipzig/Halle Airport?

Then we can offer you an exciting position in Ground Operations / air cargo handling. 

As a Supervisor (m/f/d), you are the operational link between the ground handling service providers deployed and Operations Control. In this role, you always keep an eye on safety, punctuality, quality and compliance with defined procedures.

Your tasks

• You monitor and oversee the ground handling of air cargo and ensure that operational processes run smoothly
• You keep track of operations at the Leipzig and Frankfurt locations
• You represent the company's interests towards the contracted ground handling and service providers
• You act as a knowledgeable point of contact and process coach for the ground handling companies deployed
• You coordinate communication and cooperation between the on-site service providers and the Operations Control Center (OCC)
• When needed, you support other stations within the company network, for example in ramp supervision or as a loadmaster
• You also take on administrative tasks and document or prepare relevant topics related to aircraft and ground handling

What you bring

• Several years of hands-on professional experience in handling wide-body cargo aircraft
• Solid knowledge of procedures and processes in Ground Operations / ground handling
• Experience working with or handling aircraft types
• A valid dangerous goods qualification for the ramp and cargo warehouse areas
• Aviation security background check (ZVÜ – Zu­ver­läs­sig­keits­über­prü­fung) is mandatory
• Good IT and computer skills
• Good German and English skills
• Willingness to work in a 3-shift system
• Willingness to travel occasionally for business

What you can expect

• Starting salary of approx. €43,000 gross per year – with salary increases and corresponding shift allowances
