About us
Responsibility is more than a feeling
We take deliberate responsibility for the people around us and for the planet. What that means is set out here as a list — not as a statement of intent.
Four things we have changed
We review our business areas regularly for their environmental footprint. The result is not a set of targets for 2040, but decisions that have already been taken.
- We now buy green electricity only.
- We promote electric mobility in our company car fleet.
- We encourage working from home — which saves journeys and therefore emissions.
- On the way to full digitalisation we need steadily less paper and toner.
What we are after is to get a little greener every day.
No target picture with a year attached — and for that very reason something you can check: in the invoices, in the fleet and in the paper consumption.
Aktion Mensch — for many years now
We support Aktion Mensch, which has been working for more than 50 years to improve the living conditions of people with disabilities as well as children and young people. Beyond that, we take inclusion-focused organisations into account in our donations.
Inside our own company, inclusion means something unspectacular: anyone who can work fully from home, and who gets the technical support for it, has career paths open to them that otherwise stop at the office door. That is why the home-working arrangement appears here under inclusion and not under benefits.
In the small things too
Promotional materials and workwear are the items nobody looks at most easily. Which is why they are listed here.
- No more single-use items among promotional materials.
- Workwear and branded leisurewear to the Fair Wear standard.
- Organic cotton from fair cultivation; the manufacturers’ working conditions are audited.
- The textiles are finished here in our region.
Room you divide up yourself
Freely arranged working hours and the option to work from home are meant to make a balance possible that fits a life. What that looks like, we work out in conversation — it cannot be fixed in the abstract, and one model for everyone would be the wrong one for most.
On top of that come plenty of ways to develop further. What that looks like day to day is set out under how we work.
Written down, not just meant
Social, economic and ecological demands keep growing. As part of our strategic sustainability work we have put our fields of action and our goals in writing — that is the difference between a stance and a commitment.
For this our association, the iGZ, awarded us the „CSR Profi" .
The iGZ merged with the BAP on 1 December 2023 to form the German staffing association GVP; the award therefore carries the former association’s name.
