Aircraft Handler (m/f/d)

Overview

For a company at the airport in Schönefeld near Berlin (Brandenburg), we are looking for full-time baggage / aircraft handlers (m/f/d).

The start date is 1 January 2027, and the assignment is open-ended.

You will work in a two-shift system from Monday to Sunday.

Your tasks

• Loading and unloading aircraft with luggage, cargo and dangerous goods according to specifications
• Loading and unloading baggage carts and containers
• Operating and providing ground handling equipment and vehicles (if you hold an apron driving permit (Vor­feld­füh­rer­schein))
• Properly securing various types of luggage and cargo
• Transporting luggage, cargo and dangerous goods between aircraft and the baggage halls
• Providing materials (containers, dollies, baggage carts, etc.) and tidying up before and after aircraft handling
• Securing the walkway during walk boarding and walk deboarding

What you bring

• Aviation security background check (Zu­ver­läs­sig­keits­über­prü­fung, ZÜP)
• Good German language skills
• Work experience
• Driving licence
• Experience in aircraft handling is an advantage
• Apron driving permit (Vor­feld­füh­rer­schein, VFS) is an advantage
• Dangerous goods training (DGR) is an advantage; training can be provided if needed
• An existing yellow airport ID pass (gelber Ausweis) is an advantage
• You enjoy physical work

What you can expect

• Pay: €18.91 to €19.65 per hour
• Full-time
• Two-shift system
• Working days: Monday to Sunday, including weekends
• Shift times: earliest shift start 3:30 a.m., latest shift end 11:30 p.m.
• Start: 1 January 2027
• Open-ended assignment
