Air Transport Clerk (Luftverkehrskaufmann) (m/f/d)

Overview

On behalf of our client at Frankfurt Airport, we are looking for several full-time Air Freight Export Clerks (m/f/d), Air Freight Forwarding Clerks (m/f/d) and Airport Logistics Staff (m/f/d), starting as soon as possible.

You can look forward to a varied and responsible role in an international environment. Your work will focus on air freight export, where you coordinate time-critical processes and make sure shipments are handled smoothly.

Your tasks

• Receiving and processing air freight shipments
• Checking deliveries in line with secure supply chain requirements
• Entering and maintaining relevant data in the appropriate systems
• Checking and processing freight and accompanying documents
• Checking and processing air waybills (AWB / Luftfrachtbriefe)
• Making sure all required documents are complete and correct
• Processing export procedures and preparing shipments for onward transport
• Booking and assigning air freight shipments to flights or truck services
• Communicating and coordinating with airlines and other internal departments
• Working with relevant airline systems and documenting each step of the process
• Organising and coordinating time-critical processes
• Ensuring on-time handling, taking flight times and deadlines into account

What you bring

• Completed vocational training as a freight forwarding clerk (Speditionskaufmann) (m/f/d), air transport clerk (Luftverkehrskaufmann) (m/f/d), management assistant in freight forwarding and logistics services (Kaufmann / Kauffrau für Spedition und Logistikdienstleistung) (m/f/d) or similar is an advantage
• Good written and spoken German; English skills are an advantage
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Class B driving licence
• Willingness to work early, late and night shifts
• Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays
• Valid aviation security background check (Zu­ver­läs­sig­keits­über­prü­fung, ZÜP)
• Career changers (m/f/d) with relevant work experience are also very welcome – for example from check-in, passenger handling, logistics or freight forwarding

What you can expect

• Attractive pay of up to €3,000 gross per month, depending on qualifications and working model
